Nepali Supermodel Anjali Lama is renowned for her beauty and statuesque figure was featured in a documentary called Anjali which is an autobiography documentary about her life as a transgender woman in a developing country like Nepal. According to the trailer, it shows the struggle and hardship for nepali transgender young and growing in rural areas of Nepal. Anjali who hails from a village in Nuwakot district says, her family have still not fully accepted her as their daughter.
Today was the premiere for the documentary of Anjali in QFX Kumari Cinema, Kathmandu. K-town celebrities were seen in the red carpet to see the documentary and to support the lead character Anjali. Malvika Subba (Miss Nepal 2002); Lex Limbu (Blogger), Hrishant Rai (Talent Scout) and Sakil Kunwar (Celeb Make Up Artist) were all seen in the red carpet.
Malvika who was also the host for this event, shares in her facebook:
"It was an honor hosting the Premiere of "Anjali", a documentary on Transgender Anjali Lama produced by Middleway Films. I was emotional at one point as I have had heart to heart conversations with Anjali about her struggles. Kudos to you:-)"
